Which Rust monuments should beginners learn first?

Closed thread Closed by archive

I'm trying to get better at understanding the Rust map.

There are so many monuments and I still get confused about where everything is.

Which ones would you recommend learning first as a newer player?

I'm more interested in understanding the map and getting comfortable with navigation before worrying about the more difficult locations.

Start with the smaller monuments. Learn the layout before running into the more complicated ones.

Gas Station and Supermarket are good places to get familiar with monument layouts.

Don't forget to learn roads and nearby recycler locations too. That knowledge is useful everywhere.

Water Treatment still confuses me sometimes and I've played for ages lol.

Learn the map in sections. Trying to memorize the entire thing at once is unnecessary.

Also pay attention to nearby terrain. Knowing the hills and roads around a monument can be just as useful as knowing the monument itself.
